ALICE KULBAT
I am a Brisbane-based artist who responds to both everyday local landscapes and ones wilder and more remote. The immediacy of that moment in time and capturing its essence inspires my work. Representing colour, light, shapes and atmosphere true to that captured moment are an important part of my practice.
ABOUT
My art responds to a call back to nature, surroundings such as landscapes and urbanscapes where I live and visit in my travels. The immediacy of a landscape in that moment in time, its atmosphere, light and essence inspire my creative work. I have led a creative career, mastering different mediums and various art and design disciplines. Oil painting however is one of my first loves. Painting from a young age and with a long pause, I am eagerly back at the easel again.

I currently live and work in Brisbane, QLD after spending most of my life in the Blue Mountains, NSW.
Painting both in the studio and plein air helps to grow my practice which is based on keen observation and translation of my surroundings as I see and experience them.
